Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin has a background in the space sector as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. For the last five years, she's covered space policies under Trump and Biden Administrations for FOX News. In that period, Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump, the 2020 Presidential campaign and efforts by two administrations in order to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Her extensive travels with the Vice President and the President included an official trip to Afghanistan, which she took together with Donald Trump. Kristin worked her way through the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for over a decade before joining the CBS network. She won an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her skills behind the camera back in 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in making documentaries for corporate clients which included Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors of Science in journalism from Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and her three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
