Anika Noi Rose Anika Noi Rose, an American singer-actress is best known for her character as Tiana in The Princess and The Frog. She's best known for portraying Tiana The Princess as well as the African-American Princess of the Frog. She was recognized as one of the Disney Legend. Rose played Lorrell Robinson on the Academy Award-winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose (born June 6, 1972) is an American actor and performer. Her other notable roles include her theatre performances, specifically due to her roles in the lead role of Emmie Thibodeaux in The Broadway production of Caroline or Change (2004) for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and Beneatha Younger as part of A Raisin in the Sun, a Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) in which she received nominations for the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Musical.
